7 Questions with Twitch Streamer, @KiwiPigment
We created the “7 Questions With” series to meet new and old friends of the Aloe Bud community and to learn about the way they incorporate self-care and take care of their mental health in their daily lives. This month we are introducing you to @KiwiPigment, a Twitch streamer and Ambassador of the Aloe Bud community.
Q1: Tell me about yourself.
Hi, Hi! My name is Kiwi Pigment. Though most call me Kiwi. I am an artist who also streams with a PNGtuber. I have a love for anything soft and cute. My main focus is art but I also stream cozy games like Stardew. I also have a gacha addiction.
Q2: What got you into streaming?
I wanted a way to show off my art. While photo posting apps are nice, I wanted a place where I could have more connections. Live streams just made sense to me for that. I get to talk while drawing and sometimes I even ask people for opinions from people in chat.
Q3: Tell me about your Twitch community.
My Twitch community is mainly just other artists and Vtubers who I have connected with. It’s really nice to chat with other Vtubers/artists. My community right now is mainly just Vtuber friends I’ve made, which I really love!! My Vtuber friends really encourage me!
Q4: Why is self-care so important to you personally?
Self-care is important for me because I have anxiety. Self-care is what helps my anxiety impact me less. Without taking care of myself my anxiety would be a lot worse.
Q5: What do you do during streams to take care of yourself?
I do basic things like stretches, drink water, have bathroom breaks, etc. I also find that only streaming things I enjoy helps a lot. So I don’t play shooter or horror games cause those are not games that make me happy.
Q6: Do you do any community self-care?
On my Bluesky account, I post #kiwireminds which are wholesome reminders that I think people might find helpful. Most of them are just things I tell myself because I find positive affirmations really help encourage me.
Q7: What advice would you like to give Twitch streamers experiencing digital burnout?
Remember to take breaks. It’s okay to not stream if you are too tired. Also on some social media, they let you schedule posts. Do that so you don’t have to think about posting for a while. Also try to have time to yourself, especially if you are an introvert like me. Streaming takes social energy.
