Social Media & Marketing Intern

Our Social Media Intern, or Social Media Marketing Intern, will be responsible for assisting in a range of marketing initiatives within an organization. Their duties include tracking analytics for campaigns, creating posting schedules and writing captions for posts. Sounds good? This could be the opportunity for you. 

Who we are

While we might be small, we are a rapidly growing group of free thinking, creative minds. Over the past 6 years we’ve built an amazing community of students/teachers, health care workers, parents, hard workers, dreamers and doers, and everyone in between. We have built products that share the ethos of what we believe in across platforms such as a Mobile and Desktop App, Twitter bot, and physical goods for those who do not have access to such technology.

Tasks

The Aloe Bud Social Media Intern will support the digital media staff to develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase revenue.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
• Schedule posts within our scheduling content platform (Buffer)
• Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
• Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets
• Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
• Create blog posts that encourage good mental health and support our loving community
• Support marketing team at live and online events

Requirements

• 1+ years’ experience in digital marketing/social media marketing
• Strategic thinking
• Excellent internet research skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to collaborate successfully on a common vision
• Have working knowledge of design and photo / video editing applications
• The right “how can we help” mindset and strong work ethic
• Understanding of new and old social media channels
• Mastery of the major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snap and Google+, Twitch, TikTok
• Strong data driven capabilities paired with hands-on attitude and results-oriented approach
• Intrinsic motivation to learn and willingness to take on various tasks inside and outside your field of expertise
• Passion for trends and innovations in tech and healthcare
• Excellent communication skills
• Availability to start working remotely
• Strong desire to learn and aren’t afraid to ask questions and continually look for ways to improve their skills
• Must have a creative mindset that enables them to contribute innovative ideas to a business’s marketing strategy
• Ability to work independently on one or more of their projects
