Hi GoFundMe & The Aloe Bud Community! My name is Serenity and I’m the founder of Aloe Bud. Aloe is your ultimate self-care companion and we’re a free app for iOS users. We have been on the Apple AppStore since 2017, have 1.3 million users, and have been attempting to fundraise on our website, social media, and Twitch but have not yet raised the funds needed to build our Android version.
Aloe Bud for Android has been highly requested for quite some time, in fact, if you search “Aloe Bud Android” or “@aloebud When are you going to be on Android”? on Twitter it has hundreds if not thousands of tweets.
Unlike Kickstarter, GoFundMe is strictly donation based so there won’t be any rewards besides the fact that you know we’ll be building on Android once the fundraiser completes. But, by donating you will be added to our beta tester list and gain first access before anyone else! When we get close to our goal, an email will be sent to begin collecting contact information.
Regarding how we’ll develop it, we are in talks right now to hire a Technical Co-Founder who can begin development and translation using the Flutter framework. Most of the $100,000 raised will be going towards our developer, business operations, and managing the day-to-day development of the Android app.
